I am a lifelong cat mom, having at least one cat ever since I was a child. My obsession with cats and the joy of helping others inspired the concept of providing cat sitting services to cat parents, while they’re away on vacation or if a helping hand with cat care is needed often.
My services include daily drop-in visits to your home where I check in on your cats and ensure their food and water are refilled, litter is cleaned, and they enjoy some playtime! You’ll also receive daily photo updates so you can see your kitties while you’re away!
My experience with cat care includes following specific feeding requirements, litter box scooping and thorough litter box cleaning, cleanup of dry and wet cat messes, administering pill or liquid medication, as well as subcutaneous fluids and insulin.
I am a Certified Professional Pet Sitter, Fear Free Certified Professional and certified in Pet First Aid through Walks N’ Wags. I am also a member of Pet Sitters International and insured and bonded through PROfur.
Recently I attended Pet Sitter World 2024, an annual gathering hosted by Pet Sitters International providing Professional Pet Sitters the opportunity to connect and enhance their knowledge in the pet care industry through seminars, networking and discussions.
During the conference I had the incredible opportunity of participating in the panel discussion covering scheduling and safety and provided my insight from a solo sitter perspective! Check out the video 🙂
Previous experience working in pet care includes receptionist at a veterinary clinic where I gained valuable knowledge in pet health as well as sales associate in pet retail assisting pet parents with their purchases for their four-legged family members.
Supporting the Ottawa cat community is another passion of mine. November 2023 I began volunteering with Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue, participating in fundraising events to help raise awareness of the kitties in need of a furever home.

I am a Certified Professional Pet Sitter! This has been accomplished by completing the CPPS-Certified Professional Pet Sitter® Exam, the only knowledge-based assessment that is designed exclusively for professional pet sitters.
I have been a proud member of Pet Sitters International since 2020! PSI is the world’s largest educational association for professional pet sitters and dog walkers. PSI is dedicated to educating professional pet sitters and promoting, supporting, and recognizing excellence in pet sitting.
I am a Fear Free Certified Professional! My love for pets and passion for making their lives better inspired me to take the Fear Free pledge.
Michelle’s Caring Cat Sitting Services is insured and bonded through PROfur! Canada’s first specialized insurance provider for pet care professionals.
I have been re-certified in Pet First Aid through Walks N’ Wags as of January 2024! This training includes emergency measures required to save pets’ lives, prevent further injury, and to ease pain and discomfort until qualified veterinary assistance is obtained.
I have completed Dr. Rachel Geller’s Surrender Prevention Certification Workshop! As a Surrender Prevention Specialist, I am prepared to set potential surrenderers and their cats on the road to a happy relationship together and keeping the cat in their home.
My continuing education includes extra knowledge pertaining to how to provide specialized care for kittens!
